Complete Unknown
Here is my 2 cents on the film – free of charge.
I dislike most music docufilms. I am too anal about wrong labels on records, odd storylines etc.
I love the film. The acting, live music, and the whole look.
Yes, some history is rewritten, and many people from the scene are pushed to the wayside. This is big-time movie making—not a documentary about making sure you get every pub quiz question correct. Bob Dylan approved the script, and might be OK that his mystique lives on.
I watched Don’t Look Back again after seeing the film. Which always is worth your 90 minutes.
I will see Complete Unknown again. If you have not, do not let the changes to real-life Dylan stop you.
And…
All the Bob Dylan talk. WHEN:
17 03 1983 SHORT STORY:
Bob Dylan goes to see Three O’Clock and Peter Case play at the Music Machine, in Los Angeles, California, USA. I saw Bob pay wearing a green parka. he was not really incognito. We found out one of his sons said he should see us. He was friendly and by himself. My mother walked up and chatted with him and kissed him on the cheek. (OH! Mom). I guess nobody had a camera, but it was not The Three O’Clock’s 115th Dream.
